<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain information needed for nursing a particular care receiver (care information) without inputting ID information of the care receiver in detail into a portable terminal depending on a list of names on memories. <P>SOLUTION: An in-home nursing care system includes a portable telephone 3, carried by a care giver, having a GPS receiver 1 mounted therein for detecting position information on the basis of a satellite signal, and a server 4 installed in a management center for managing information on both the care giver and the care receiver. The server 4 has names of care receivers corresponding to respective position information on a plurality of care receiver's homes, and the care information corresponding to respective names of the care receivers. The server 4 selects the name of a care receiver corresponding to the position information from the portable telephone 3, and sends it to the portable telephone 3. The portable telephone 3 sends to the server 4 confirmation information indicating that the care giver has confirmed the name of the care receiver sent from the server 4. The server 4 identifies the care information corresponding to the name of the care receiver according to the confirmation information from the portable telephone 3, and sends it to the portable telephone 3.
