The invention relates to a gasflow diffuser (1) for a gasflow consisting of a main speed flow (71) and partial flows forming the totality thereof. The inventive diffuser comprises several pairs of surfaces arranged oppositely to each other in such a way that a part of the flow is diffused between each surface pair. Said surfaces generally extend in a main direction and are embodied in such a way that it is possible to form, on the periphery of the main flow, a lateral flow (72) whose peripheral velocity is greater than the main velocity and which produces a wall effect protecting the main flow. Said diffuser can consist of absolute filters and be used for protecting a working area, for example in the pharmaceutical, electronic or agri-food industry.
