PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously evaluate a possibility that an estimate on a tire abrasion life goes wrong. SOLUTION: According to this tire abrasion life estimating method, in estimating the abrasion life of a tire, firstly, friction energy is changed by an abrasion tester of a variable friction energy type to find the abrasion amount of a rubber material making up the tire (step S101). Then, an approximate expression for expressing a relation between the friction energy and the abrasion amount is found (step S102) to calculate the correlation coefficient of the approximate expression (step S103). Robustness of the rubber material is evaluated based on the found correlation coefficient (step S104).
