PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image quality from being deteriorated due to a variation in the amount of ink ejection. SOLUTION: Nonejection pulses are imparted to both adjacent pressure chambers, which do not eject ink, so that a meniscus position of a nozzle of a certain pressure chamber when the ink is ejected again by imparting the ejection pulse to the certain pressure chamber again after the ink is sequentially ejected by sequentially imparting the ejection pulses for the ejection of the ink to the certain pressure chamber and both the pressure chambers adjacent to the certain pressure chamber can almost correspond to a meniscus position of a nozzle of a certain pressure chamber when the ink is ejected again by imparting the ejection pulse to the certain pressure chamber again after the ink is ejected by imparting the ejection pulse for the ejection of the ink to only the certain pressure chamber. The nonejection pulse is opposite in polarity to the ejection pulse, and a meniscus oscillation amplitude, which is equal to a meniscus oscillation amplitude when the ejection pulses are imparted to both the adjacent pressure chambers, occurs in the nozzle of the certain pressure chamber for ejecting the ink.
