The cartridge valve has a housing (2), with a sealed endplate (5) and a valve seat (4), a swiveling control member (7) and a controller (8). The control member follows a rotating motion and serves for the pre-setting of the flow rate. The transmission of the rotating motion of the control member takes place to the controller directly via the endplate (5) of a valve lifter (3). The sealing is only between the housing and the valve lifter.
