<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a suppressor in an opened state and to improve loading work of a storage tape to a component supply device. <P>SOLUTION: When a new storage tape is to be loaded on the component supply device 7, the component supply device 7 where a component runs out is removed from a supply stand 6 and it is transferred onto a bench. A tape reel is removed from the component supply device 7, and the new tape reel is fitted to which the storage tape is wound. The storage tape is sent out from the new tape reel by prescribed length, and the new storage tape C is loaded and set in the component supply device 7 placed on the bench. Namely, an operator depresses a support piece 65 formed of a flat spring upward by a finger and releases engagement of an engagement pin 62 and the locking pawl 64 of a locking device 63. When the suppressor 60 turns anticlockwise with a pin 61 as a fulcrum, an engagement member 68 descends, and it abuts on the engagement part 69A of a locking member 69 made of a flat spring so as to bend the locking member 69.
