PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive joint structure of an upper part structure and a steel pipe pile having a simple structure and capable of easily and securely adjusting a position and guaranteeing positional precision and joint strength and to provide a jointing method. SOLUTION: This joint structure 1a has the steel pipe pile 2, a grip hardware 32 for gripping the steel pipe pile 2, a vertical screw 30 provided in the grip hardware so as to elevate and lower freely, an annular bottom plate 4 supported by the vertical screw 30, a sleeve pipe 51 loaded on the bottom plate 4 and provided with a horizontal screw 50, a top plate 52 fixed to the sleeve pipe 51, and concrete 6 filled among the upper part structure 71 provided on the top plate 51, the sleeve pipe 51, and the steel pipe pile 2. A position in the vertical direction of the top plate 52 is adjusted by the vertical screw 30, its position in the horizontal direction is adjusted by the horizontal screw 50, and its travel in the horizontal direction is bound.
