A power tool, such as a band saw 10, has a housing 14, a motor 18 and a battery 46 which is electrically connectable to the motor for powering the motor. The band saw may also have two handles 30, 38 and two wheels (40, 42, fig. 4). The battery may be at least partially positioned between the two handles 30, 38 and/or between the axes (41, 44, fig. 4) of the two wheels. The power tool may include a battery support (50, fig. 2) which is formed separately from the housing of the band saw and is supportable by the housing, so that the battery is removable and/or replaceable. The battery may be at least 26 Volts and may be a lithium-ion battery. |
