<p>Preparation of a toner powder (I) (where the individual toner particles (a) (12) comprise a colorant incorporated into a polymer (II), and the precursor of the polymer consists of a liquid phase (A)) comprises dispersing the colorant in (A) to form fine dispersion droplets (36) and exposing the droplets to electromagnetic waves. Preparation of a toner powder (I) (where the individual toner particles (a) (12) comprise a colorant (preferably pigments) incorporated into a polymer (II), and the precursor of the polymer consists of a liquid phase (A) based on monomers and/or oligomers (A1)) comprises dispersing the pigments in (A) to form fine dispersion droplets (36) (having a defined droplet size) and exposing the droplets to electromagnetic waves/electrons, where polymerization reaction of (A1) is initiated to form (II) and the polymerized drops form (a). Independent claims are also included for: (1) system, for the preparation of (I), comprising reservoir (14) linked droplet generators (22) with multiple nozzles, fine dispersion droplets generator and an irradiation equipment for irradiating formed dispersion droplets with electromagnetic waves or electrons; (2) toner powder with (a) obtained by the method; (3) a method for preparing (I) containing (a) comprises dispersing a pigment in a liquid phase, which is the precursor (monomers and/or oligomers) of the polymer, applying the dispersion on a surface by means of polymerization of the monomers and/or oligomers and hardening; and (4) a system for producing (I) comprising a reservoir for a dispersion of colorants (preferably pigments) into a liquid phase on the basis of the monomers and/or oligomers, which serve as precursor for the polymer of (a), a surface (on which the dispersion occurs for hardening by polymerization), connected means, along with the reservoir, for applying the dispersion on the surface and a means for clearing away the hardened dispersion formed on the surface.</p> |
