<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus in which service security can be improved by realizing authentication for an authentication device that is connected to an external network. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus 1 comprising: a scanner mechanism unit 56 to input an image; a print mechanism unit 58 to output the image inputted by the scanner mechanism unit 56; an NCU (network control unit) 60 to perform processing for connection to an external network 62; and a CPU 50a to perform connection to an authentication server 71 connected to the external network 62 using the NCU 60, and to request the authentication server 71 for an authentication process, when the print mechanism unit 58 outputs an image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
