PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform unmanned operation by measuring a camber developed in a workpiece and, if the measurement result exceeds a permissible value, changing working contents on the workpiece as using the workpiece or changing to a workpiece allowing the working contents as keeping the working contents. SOLUTION: A working machine has a truck 2 designed to run on rails 1, a traverse carriage 5 disposed for traverse motion on the truck 2, end detecting means for detecting ends of a workpiece B, measuring means for measuring a camber Q from detection values by the end detecting means, and controlling means 20. If the measured camber Q exceeds a permissible value, working contents assigned to the workpiece are canceled, and other working contents suitable to the workpiece are selected and commanded.
