PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grooving tool for an inside diameter which is excellent in chip discharging performance and versatility. SOLUTION: A throwaway tip 4 comprises a rake face on the upper surface side of at least one end of a tip body, an end relief flank on an end surface side, side relief flanks on side surface sides, an end cutting edge 8 at a ridge formed by the intersection of the rake face and the end relief flank, and side cutting edges at ridges formed by the intersection of the rake face and the side relief flanks. The whole throwaway tip 4 is mounted on a tip mounting portion 3 at the tip end of a tool holder 2, the tip mounting portion 3 having clamp planes on its upper and lower surfaces such that the end cutting edge 8 is protruded toward the side of the tool holder 2, and the upper side of the throwaway tip 4 is tilted toward the rear end side of the tool holder 2.
