PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently heat a fixing roller by a heater and to effectively restrain the curling of a transfer material after fixing. SOLUTION: A fixing/ejecting means 10 conveys the transfer material 2 with the speed at which the transfer material is conveyed, which is higher than the speed at which the transfer material is conveyed by the fixing roller 7. The fixing/ejecting means 10 is disposed for the fixing roller 7 so that the transfer material 2 is separated from a place P<SB>1</SB>, which is downstream of a nip area Pb in the direction in which the transfer material is conveyed. The center of the heater 11 is positioned in a space between a first line 14 and a second line 15 in the fixing roller 7 and away from the rotation center O<SB>1</SB>of the fixing roller 7.
