摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam hardness controlling method for a shaping machine which is required to automatically produce an accurate winding hardness of a take-up beam and a winding hardness corresponding to the beam winding diameter as the machine operation is made at a higher speed, the thread sorts have increased, etc. SOLUTION: Pulse signals are taken out electrically from the rotation of a length measuring roll and the rotation of a take-up motor and subjected to a computation so as to detect the beam diameter on the real-time basis. The obtained value is compared with the air pressure data corresponding to the beam diameter set on a setting device, and a controller emits an electric signal corresponding to the beam diameter. The electric signal is converted into an air pressure by an electro-pneumatic proportional valve and is used to the advancing side air pressure of an air cylinder giving a thrust force to a press roll for controlling the beam hardness. When the press roll ending the beam wound is repelled from the beam, the air pressure set from a manual air pressure setting device is put into the reversing propulsive force side of the air cylinder so as to make repulsion.
