The machine has workpiece spindles (20, 50) arranged on a machine rack. each with respective workpiece holders (26, 56). A rod feeding equipment is assigned to the spindle (20) to store a raw workpiece (WR) that is handed over to the spindle (50) from the spindle (20). The workpiece spindles are tiltable around a swivel axis that runs transverse to the spindle axes to transfer the finished workpiece to a transport equipment. The workpieces held in the holder (56) and in a workpiece gripper, respectively are aligned directly and are arranged on the same side of the spindle (50).
