PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform display switching of a television program and a browser image in a television receiver provided with a web page browsing function. SOLUTION: When communication with an external web server 121 is established and a browser 117 is started, it is switchable whether the television program and the browser image are respectively independently displayed in a displaying part 110 or the television program and the browser image are simultaneously displayed by a plurality of image display. In addition, when switching is made to display only for television program, an index showing that the Internet is now connected on the screen. When switching is made to a plurality of image display, an index explaining what the respective images are like and an index showing an image outputting sound are displayed.
