摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate matrix operation by reducing the number of times of access to a storage device. <P>SOLUTION: Computing elements 50 are provided as many as a number corresponding to sizes of matrices. In each of the computing elements 50, a selector 10 outputs a pixel value first supplied from an external input 11, a multiplier 20 multiplies the pixel value by an element of a conversion matrix, and a result of the first matrix operation is held in an accumulator 30. The selector 10 then outputs a value from the accumulator 30, and the multiplier 20 multiplies the value by the conversion matrix for the second time. As a result, an intermediate result of the second matrix operation is supplied from each of the computing elements 50 to an eight-input adder 60, and the eight-input adder 60 outputs added results, thereby obtaining the result of the second matrix operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
