<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress fragmentation in a communication path, prevent load increase by the fragmentation of network devices when traffic is large, and prevent load increase by reconfiguration of packets which are fragmented in a receiving terminal. <P>SOLUTION: When data are distributed in which further two or more packets are recorded in the payload of an IP packet; the MTU of the communication path is investigated, and the packets in the payload are constituted based on the obtained MTU value. Moreover, it is assumed that the terminal moves in the network, a function is given which informs to a distribution server that the terminal has moved, and a new MTU of the communication path is searched at the time that the notification occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
