PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry imaging material used in silver salt photothermography which is high in sensitivity but less in fogging and excellent in shelf life, especially stable in the shelf life of the silver images after heat development. SOLUTION: Heat developable photosensitive materials contain: non-photo-sensitive aliphatic carboxylic acid silver salt particles; photosensitive silver halide particles; a reducing agent which reduces the aliphatic carboxylic acid silver salt to silver when activated by heat; a binder; and a cross-linking agent of this binder. The photosensitive silver halide particles drops the surface sensitivity lower than before the heat development by changing from a surface latent image to an inside latent image in the process of heat developing. The non-photo-sensitive aliphatic carboxylic acid silver salt particles are the carboxylic acid silver salt particles prepared by the double jet method which uses aliphatic carboxylate solution and silver salt solution.
