A printing apparatus, which acquires, in response to a print instruction, print data composed of a plurality of sub-data so as to perform a printing, comprises print data acquiring means (interpreter 1203) for acquiring sub-data; determining means (rasterizer 1202) for determining whether the acquired sub-data needs to be acquired again by the interpreter (1203) so as to complete the printing of the print data; and notifying means (communication I/F 1204) that, if it is determined that the acquired sub-data does not need to be acquired again, so notifies a print instruction apparatus having given the print instruction.
