A telephone switching system 310 includes a position information management database 35 and a call conversion controller 34. On receiving number conversion information from an adapter 210 having a radio communication terminal 10 connected, the database 35 registers an identification number assigned to the adapter 210 and terminal information particular to the communication terminal 10 in one-to-one correspondence, thereby managing the position of the communication terminal 10. When a call is originated on a telephone terminal 10 interconnected thereto or a communication terminal 10 having a voice communication function interconnected to its LAN system 60, the call conversion controller 34 searches the database 35 on the basis of a destination number and substitutes, if terminal information corresponding to the destination number is found in the database 35, the identification number of the adapter 210 corresponding to the terminal information for the destination number to process call switching.
