<p>The process involves establishing an unstructured supplementary service data (USSD) type data transfer channel, when dialing of a chosen call number indicating a call center by one of mobile telephones (T) is detected, between a satellite assisted positioning device (D) of the telephone and an assistance data server (SDA). The channel is established so that the server cooperates with the device to obtain the calling telephone position. The server is required to transmit the obtained position when the called center detects a need to locate the calling telephone. An independent claim is also included for a communication installation.</p> |
