PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent destruction of a file system or disablement of a recording medium having possibility of being caused by trouble in system information update processing. SOLUTION: In a data recording apparatus 1, destruction of a file system or disablement of a recording medium caused by trouble during processing in which control information about recorded data is updated can be prevented by recording backup information of file allocation information and backup information of route directory in a peculiar region of a mini-disk, and a file system having high reliability can be constructed.
