<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge, realizing increase in the reliability in electrical connection between the input electrical contact of a process cartridge and an output electrical contact provided in the main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus, when mounting the process cartridge in the main assembly of the image forming apparatus, and to provide the electrophotographic image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A movable operating member 142 is provided to be movable relatively to a cartridge frame. After the process cartridge B has been mounted to the main assembly A of the electrophotographic image forming apparatus, by having an operating member is operated, whereby the member 142 is engaged with the displaceable engaging part of a displaceable member 147 so as to move the member 147, in interrelation, with which the output electrical contact 144a is moved from a retracted position to an electrical connecting position against the elastic force of an elastic function member.
