<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device equipped with, for example, a novel incorrect rewriting prevention circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The display device for displaying a desired video by using the video signal from, for example, an external device, in order to achieve the purpose is equipped with a memory circuit for storing the information on the display device, a read-out permission means for permitting the external device to permit the read-out of the information from the memory circuit, a write inhibit means for inhibiting writing to the memory circuit when the power source of at least either of the display device or the external device turns on and a writing permission means for permitting the writing to the memory circuit by the signal from an external terminal used in the read-out permission means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
