PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air tube type selective water intake works having excellent installability, enabling a reduction in production costs, enabling simple opening/closing control with low power, and causing less troubles. SOLUTION: A ring-shaped air tube 7 supported by a support member 5 vertically installed on a water bottom 4 and vertically piled in multiple stages between the water bottom 4 and a water level L is formed, and a water intake port 4a is formed in the water bottom 4 at a position on the inner side of the air tube. The air tube 7 is expanded by receiving air to close the water intake port 12 between the adjacent air tubes 7, and contracted by the discharge of air in the air tube 7 at a specified water level to open the water intake port 12 between the adjacent air tubes 7.
