INHIBITOR OF COLON CANCER AND FOOD CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active ingredient highly safe in administration to a human body, and exhibiting excellent bioactive effects; and to provide a food containing the active ingredient.

SOLUTION: The inhibitor of colon cancer contains a glucosylceramide fraction extracted from a plant as the active ingredient. Preferably, the inhibitor of the colon cancer contains the glucosylceramide fraction extracted from cereals as the active ingredient. The inhibitor of the colon cancer prevents the onset of the colon cancer. The food is obtained by formulating the inhibitor of the colon cancer.
