PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength selective absorption film which has a wavelength selective absorption layer, is capable of selectively absorbing light of the wavelength that deteriorates color purity and near-infrared rays when used for a plasma display filter, hardly causes a variation of tone in the film TD direction and has an excellent appearance of the wavelength selective absorption layer, and to provide a manufacturing method of the wavelength selective absorption film. SOLUTION: The wavelength selective absorption film comprises the wavelength selective absorption layer containing a near-infrared ray absorbing pigment, a neon cutting pigment, a resin, a surfactant, and a transparent base material.
