PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the real size of a measurement object without using a distance sensor, by analyzing a taken image considering the anteroposterior relation (perspective relation) between the size measurement object and the reference object to be compared with the size measurement object. SOLUTION: In the status that in the monitor image taken by a camera imaging section 7, the measurement object and the reference object are designated, a CPU 1 sets up the position in a non-photographic region 32 corresponding to the camera position as a measurement basic point BP, measures the virtual distances to the measurement object and the reference object from the measurement base point BP in a real photographic region 31, obtains the real size of the reference object, calculates the image size for each measurement object and each reference object by analyzing the monitor images, and calculates the real size of the measurement object based on each calculated size, each virtual distance, and the real size of the reference object.
