PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a question answering system for acquiring answer information satisfying the requirements of a user from updated information. SOLUTION: A question inputted from a user and answer conditions are stored in a question/answer information database 107. When a knowledge information database 104 is updated, an answer retrieving part 105 newly acquires an answer candidate from the knowledge information database 104. An answer filter part 106 filters the answer candidate satisfying the answer conditions, and outputs it as an answer.
