PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting metal fitting of a wooden building member, for contributing to an improvement in workability and economic efficiency of a wooden skeleton, while reducing the cargo bulk when transporting a member attached with the connecting metal fitting to a job site from a factory. SOLUTION: This connecting metal fitting has a base metal fitting 2 fixed to a main trunk member 1, a connecting plate 5 inserted into and fixed to a slit 4 formed in an end part of a horizontal member 3, and a fixture 6. The base metal fitting 2 has a fixing part 7 to the main trunk member, and a connecting part 8 of the connecting plate. The connecting part 8 has a locking hole 9 opening in front in the tip part. The locking hole is formed smaller in a vertical dimension on the inlet side than the innermost side. The connecting plate 5 has a claw piece 10 locking on the locking hole of the connecting part on the root side. The claw piece 10 is movably formed in the vertical direction in a state of being inserted into the locking hole 9. The claw piece 10 can be freely inserted into and extracted from the locking hole 9 in an upper position, and the claw piece 10 is prevented from slipping out by locking on the locking hole 9 in a lower position.
