PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser scanning confocal microscope capable of high speed FRAP experiment. SOLUTION: The laser scanning confocal microscope 100 comprises a microscope part 110, a laser light source unit 120, a scanning unit 140 and a control part 180. The scanning unit 140 comprises a scanning optical unit 144 for scanning a light beam from a laser light source unit 120, a confocal pinhole 147 at a conjugate position to a converging point of the light beam, a dichroic mirror 150 for dividing a fluorescent beam passing the confocal pinhole 147, a spectroscopic unit 160 for detecting the fluorescent beam reflected on the dichroich mirror 150, and a spectroscopic unit 170 for detecting the fluorescent beam passing the dichroich mirror 150. The dichroich mirror 150 transmits a component of wavelength of a side band from among the fluorescent beam generated from a sample S, and reflects a component of wavelength of a center band from among the fluorescent beam generated from the sample S.
