PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strongly suppress the separation of a belt layer 24 from a belt strengthening layer 31. SOLUTION: A pair of reinforcing layers 38 having a small width and straddling the widthwise outer ends 36 of widest strengthening plies 32a and 32b are installed on the outside in the radial direction of a widest belt ply 25, and in these reinforcing layers 38, a reinforcing element 39 inclined in the opposite direction to a reinforcing element 26 in the belt ply 25 is embedded, which increases the circumferential direction rigidity in the overlapping part of the reinforcing layer 38 with the belt ply 25. Further because the reinforcing element 39 embedded in the reinforcing layer 38 is discontinued on the way to the tire equator S, the widthwise rigidity at the outer end in the width direction of the belt layer 24 lowers.
