PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress image deterioration by preventing toner layer turbulence due to slipping between a belt and a heating roll surface layer. SOLUTION: The fixing device is provided with the heating roll 1401, a pressure roll 1411 pressed to the heating roll, the belt 1431 attached wrapped to the outer periphery of the pressure roll and moved while being held between the heating roll and a belt hanging member 1421 on which the belt is hung and an unfixed toner image formed on a sheet material is fixed. A nip range provided with back up by the pressure roll and a nip range without the back up are provided in a nip part formed by the heating roll and the belt.
