<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head with excellent directional stability. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club head is composed of a head body 11 which is made of a metal material having a specific gravity of≥3 g/cm<SP>3</SP>such as titanium, and has an opening at the center among a heel side portion, a toe side portion, and a crown portion, and a composite member 12 which is made of a material having a specific gravity of≤3 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, and integrally formed so as to correspond to the center part among the heel side portion, the toe side portion, and the crown portion. In the golf club head, the opening portion of the head body 11 is connected with the composite member 12, a sole portion is brought into contact with a flat surface, gaps between the surface of the sole portion and the flat surface are made to have equal lie angles on the toe side and the heel side. When the golf club head is divided into three at equal intervals by four planes parallel with a plane vertical to the flat surface and including the center axis of a hosel portion, a divided part on a face portion side has the heaviest weight and a divided part at the center has the lightest weight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
