PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus capable of highly accurately estimating and detecting the location etc. of a moving object. SOLUTION: The apparatus for detecting the locations of moving objects is provided with an electrical field detector 1 and a magnetic detector 2 provided at locations considered to be the same locations with respect to the moving object for detecting electrical field and magnetic filed signals in each component of orthogonal three axial directions; a data collector 5 for recording signals as data each detected by the detectors at the same time; and a detector 6 for estimating locations etc. and estimating and detecting the location of the moving object on the basis of parameter values computed by the method of least squares using residuals to values computed by substituting the data recorded in the data collector 5.
