Disclosed is a connection assembly for connection to the mouth of a flexible container (2), the connection assembly comprising: an inner ring (4) having an inner flange (5) around its external diameter; an outer ring (6) having a recess (7) around its inner diameter sized to engage the inner flange; and the inner and outer rings being adapted to interengage to trap the mouth of the flexible container between the inner and outer rings.
