PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cleaning performance of a cleaner for an optical fiber connector. SOLUTION: The cleaner (1) for the optical fiber connector is provided with a housing (10), a winding means (32) and a delivery means (34) which are prepared for a cleaning tape (T) arranged in the housing (10), a cleaning means (20) having a rod-like cleaning part (21) projected to the outside of the housing (10) and capable of cleaning the end face of an optical fiber connector by bringing the tip of the cleaning part (21) into contact with the end face in a state that the cleaning tape (T) delivered from the delivery means (34) to the tip of the cleaning part (21) is movably stretched in an exposed state, a cleaning part rotation means (23) coaxially connected to the cleaning part (21) in the housing (10) and rotatably pivoted by the housing (10), and a transmission means (40) for rotating the winding means (32) and the delivery means (34) almost simultaneously to respective prescribed directions by a prescribed angle and then reversely rotating the cleaning part rotation means (23) up to the original position.
