<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match paper to be mounted in a feed cassette with paper information set by clarifying who has changed the paper feed cassette and unerringly inform an optimum user requiring the report that paper setting of the paper feed cassette has been changed. <P>SOLUTION: The information of paper set on the feed cassette is registered and user information including authentication information determined for every user is registered in an external memory 307.
