PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an apparatus for forming the clutch teeth for a transmission gear which can form high precise clutch teeth with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A taper-shaped die hole (3a) with a diameter decreasing toward the lower part is arranged in a die main body (2), and an annular movable cylindrical body (11) is fitted into this die hole (3a) so as to be vertically movable. Further, a number of vertically elongated die pieces (15) having forming teeth (15c) provided at the upper inner circumferential side are arranged in the circumferential direction and fitted so as to be vertically movable in a gap between the die hole and the movable cylindrical body. An engaging part (12) inclined outward in the radius direction toward the lower part is arranged at the interval between the movable cylindrical body (11) and each die piece (15), and also an elastic body (9) for pressing the movable cylindrical body (11) upward is arranged. An intermediate product (25) having clutch rough teeth (26a) on the lower surface side is placed on the above die pieces (15), and a punch (22) is arranged for shifting each die piece (15) downward under pressure via the intermediate product (25) while engaging the clutch rough teeth (26a) with the forming teeth (15c) of the die pieces (15).
