The process involves allocating null values in a voluminous X-ray image (101) to information content of a set of voxels and obtaining a voluminous image (215) representing vessels of a patient`s heart. Information content of voxels of voluminous images (214, 215) are added to obtain a voluminous image (216) representing blood vessels supplying the heart and its muscular envelope. An image extracted from the image (216) is displayed.
