PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor and time, and production cost by providing an ozone generator whose constitution has been simplified. SOLUTION: The ozone generator is equipped with a glass vessel 11 in which a space is formed and plasma can be generated in the space, and a discharge electrode 13 which is provided at the outside of the glass vessel 11. In the device, creeping discharge is generated at the outer surface of the glass vessel 11 by impressing a high voltage to the discharge electrode 13 in such a state that the plasma is generated at the inside of the glass vessel 11, and ozone is generated by the discharge.
