The invention relates to the powdery alloys for welding on and correction of defects onto the surface of the pieces of grey cast iron in the machine building and other branches of industry.The powdery alloy, preferably for electric and gas welding of the grey cast pieces, contains carbon, silicium, manganese and iron. Novelty consists in that the alloy supplementary contains zirconium and strontium having the following component ratio, mass %:carbon �3,70...4,10silicium�1,30...2,20manganese�0,30...0,70zirconium�0,04...0,40strontium�0,02...0,30iron�the rest.The result consists in improving the physical and mechanical properties of the powdery alloy.
