<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a function of collecting large-sized dust and discharging dust and odor at the same time in the cleaning by a vacuum cleaner using a conventional paper filter etc., to obtain clean emission air by dissolving fine dust and unpleasant odor in water and further cleaning the collected dust through water filter afterward, and to reduce the cost by using a polyethylene tank sold on the market and water. <P>SOLUTION: The dust collection and air cleaning device uses the polyethylene tank and the vacuum cleaner sold on the market. Dust and polluted air are first collected in a dust collecting bag attached to an air intake tube while discharged air is fed into water in the polyethylene tank through the air intake tube. Air is brought into contact with water by the suction force of the vacuum cleaner and is cleaned with water. For this purpose, a cap with a nozzle attached to a lid part at either end of the polyethylene tank and the air intake tube with the dust collecting bag under the cap are developed. With this structure, clean air can be obtained and the cleaning effect can be enhanced, while the cost of cleaning members can be reduced by using the polyethylene tank and water.
