<p>PURPOSE:To select an image compressibility suitable for respective image contents superimposed on the same screen. CONSTITUTION:This transmitter is provided with an image signal input means 1 for inputting at least more than two image signals, a slave screen display means 2 for superimposing at least more than one picture signals among the plural image signals inputted through the image signal input means 1 on the same screen as a slave screen to be displayed, a coordinate information obtaining means 3 for obtaining the coordinate information of a slave screen area superimposed by the slave screen display means 2 and an image compression means 5 for controlling the image compressibility based on the coordinate information obtained by the coordinate information obtaining means 3. Then, at the time of image compressing the slave screen area, by controlling the image compressibility based on the coordinate information and making the image compressibility of the slave screen area different from the image compressibility of the other screen areas, the compressibility of the images suitable for the image contents of the superimposed slave screen is selected.</p> |
