PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce number of terminals for output signals from a solid state imaging device to a succeeding stage, and at the same time, to make it possible to hand over various information. SOLUTION: The solid state imaging device 1 is provided with a pixel part 11 in which two or more pixels 10 which takes in an image signal, are arranged in a matrix shape; a transmission/timing formation circuit (TG) 12 which generates a timing signal for reading out an image signal taken in by the pixel part 11 and a timing signal for outputting the image signal outside; a image signal output line (Terminal T1) which outputs the image signal based on timing signal generated in the transmission/timing formation circuit (TG) 12; and a dividing signal line (Terminal T3) which outputs information in time series, which shows division along at least a column direction and a row direction regarding to the image signal outputted from the image signal output line.
