PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color sensor which can be miniaturized at a low cost, which is superior in mass productivity, and which facilitates the attachment to a case and so forth of various kinds of apparatuses. SOLUTION: The sensor includes: a case 11 the having an opening part 11a; a light emission element 12; a light receiving part 13; a lens holder 17 having lenses 17a and 17b; a control circuit 14 for controlling the driving of the light emission element and the light receiving part; and a connector 15 for transmitting/receiving an electric signal, disposed so that a terminal part inside the case is exposed to the outer surface of the case, wherein the light receiving part is composed of a color image sensor in which an RGB filter and the array of the light receiving elements are integrated.
