PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of signal lines, to increase the number of gradations thereby and to improve resolution by applying a display device and a method for driving the display device for a liquid crystal display device of a type for constituting one pixel e.g. of a plurality of sub-pixels and expressing gradations by driving these sub-pixels.
