The method involves measuring a set of liquid flows passing through the throat of a human being by ultrasound or electromagnetic means and averaging the measurement for a fixed time period in order to avoid the blood flow. An alarm is sent to a watch or a programmed telephone by a radiofrequency or infrared connection, if the value of the liquid flow is lower than a minimal value of hydration. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method of monitoring and controlling hydration of a living body.
