PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ink from adhering to a pipe joint after ink is taken out. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder comprises a recording head 4 for ejecting ink to a recording medium, a removable ink tank 20 provided with a coupling part 21, a section 13 for containing the ink tank 20, a piping section provided with a piping joint 19 being connected with the coupling part 21, and a supporting rod 18 provided with an ink adsorbing member 17 for removing ink adhering to the forward end part of the piping joint 19 when the coupling part 21 is removed from the piping joint 19.
